Distributed Encoding??

Feb 8, 2013 at 4:38 PM
I was wondering if the option to select another engine will actually allow to use multiple servers to re-encode MCE files thus reducing encoding time. I have added another engine but it then just uses the other server to encode. Is there a special syntax to allow two or several servers to help in the encoding???

Thanks in advance!!!

:)) - I like where you're going with this. that's a real "google" style ambition, unfortunately not something that's feasable in the current context to MCEBuddy.
Right now you can setup it up on multiple servers and point them to a common stash, put file filters on each server (to avoid conflicts) and have them work on the pool
You can use a the remote client to set the status from each server.
