Coordinate multiple computers against a single job list?

Jun 10, 2013 at 7:34 AM
Hi rBoy1,

Is there any way to coordinate multiple computers against a single directory of files that need encoding? I have a Media Center PC with thousands of recordings - I'd love to split the load of encoding them against a couple computers I have on my network.

Thanks for a great tool (I'm a donator too)! Will.

Short answer:

You can setup up multiple MCEBuddy servers (engines) and point the monitor tasks to a common stash (network share).
Then put file filters on each server monitor task or conversion task (to avoid conflicts) and have them work on the pool
You can check the status of each engine using the remote client

I am too interested in a feature like this. I outlined my FR in the thread you kindly quoted ;)
