Very slow fast forward with unprocessed video's

Apr 1, 2014 at 4:36 PM
I just tried two options, WTV unprocessed and TS unprocessed, when I go to watch them in WMC both are unable to fast forward properly. It seems like the fastest they can go is 2x even if you hit the FF button 3 times when it should be going really fast. Normal recorded video's FF fine, its just the processed ones, or should I say "unprocessed" yet commercials removed video's that have issues.

Anyone else notice this in WMC?

This is being worked on by the ffmpeg team. Feel free to share your comments and vote for supporting to fix this here:

BTW this only impacts WTV, not TS files.

I was very pleased to find that 2.3.15 solved basically all of my WTV issues with WMC and viewing on XBOX 360. I voted for the issue on the ffmpeg site. Is there any known workaround to support fast forward on XBOX 360? I am using "WTV Unprocessed", perhaps a re-encoding profile would work? I noted the wiki post but this was not mentioned. https://mcebuddy2x.codeplex.com/discussions/540759

usually it's 2x (sometimes 4x works depending upon your player) by default. There's no way to change it as yet. Maybe in future.

@mschmid4 - I understand you have a XBox 360. Can you please contact me at mcebuddy2x@yahoo.com. I need some inputs from you regarding the 360 and MCEBuddy. Thanks.
