Ignore embedded meta data?

Sep 19, 2014 at 9:09 PM
I have some files that have less than desirable meta data embedded. The files are actually named pretty well like SHOW - S01E01 - SUBTITLE. Is there any way to have MCEBuddy ignore the embedded meta data and just download new metadata?

What's happening to me now is the meta "Titlle" is set to "S01E01 - SUBTITLE" so it renames it that way and puts it into the wrong destination folder.

Much thanks!

Not currently but you can open a feature request on the issues page for it.

You have a simpler solution, just uncheck the option to renaming the files or use custom renaming and use the original title tag to retain the original filename.

It donesn't make sense not to read the metadata, just change the way the renaming takes place.
