Can I set MCEB to Strip Commercials Only?

Jan 9, 2015 at 3:39 AM
I'm trying out MCEB. I already have about 70 TV Shows converted to MP4, organized and named they way I need them (for Plex) however, they all have commercials still. The first task I need to do is cut these commercials out. Can I use MCEB for that, without re-encoding the MP4s again?

Disregard, looks like I just need to set the profile to 'MP4 unprocessed'.

OK, having a couple issues.

1) I set my folder with all the mp4s in it as a Monitor Location and tell it to watch for *.mp4 but it's not automatically adding any files.
2) I manually added one and everything went great, except I lost my subtitles even though I have "Add subtitles and Chapters" checked off under Expert Settings (why are subtitles an 'expert" setting?).

Any suggestions?

Attach a link/upload your mcebuddy.log file and your conversion log

Thanks rboy1,

Here's a link to the logs. let me know if these aren't the right ones. I've got the monitored locations working so far (had to uninstall and reinstall to fix that) but I'm still not getting subtitles.

You haven't checked the option to extract closed captions/subtitles.

So you have to extract and then they will be re-added?
