Problem with Hang on "Checking IMDB"

I am on the 01/11/2015 build of MCEBuddy 2.4.2 and am running into the following problem:

2015-01-13T22:27:35 MCEBuddy.MetaData.VideoMetaData --> Checking for metadata title and series correction

--> Searching IMDB Series with result offset 7
--> Searching IMDB Series with result offset 8

--> Searching IMDB Series with result offset 10

The "Searching IMDB..." keeps going on seemingly forever (made it's way past offset 500 once before I gave up and quit waiting. This didn't happen on a Galavant conversion Sunday night, but happened tonight with both New Girl and The Mindy Project. The only way around it is to go into the Conversion Task > Expert Settings > Media Information Management and uncheck Download Information (thus bypassing the IMDB search).

I ran into this issue last week as well (same shows) on the 01/04/2015 build; at that time I uninstalled 01/04/2015 and re-installed the 01/03/2015 build and the issue was no longer present. I would have just stayed on 01/03/2015, but was forced to upgrade due to the QuickSync hardware driver hang detection timeout taken from global hang timeout fix I needed.

Anyone have any idea why I keep running into this never-ending "Searching IMDB Series with result offset" issue?

Thanks in advance as your help is much appreciated!

P.S. - I also saved the most recent Log file in case it would be of any assistance to anyone.

Why not just let it run through, it may take some time? It depends upon how many search results are returned from imdb. Can you also upload a copy of your conversion log for the 500+ offsets for us to deep dive into.

Well the reason I didn't let it run through was because it was over a 1/2-hour plus into just sitting there Searching IMDB; thought it was pretty excessive seeing as how the actual conversion process itself only takes 6 minutes (with Quick Sync, which is AWESOME by the way!). Like I was saying though, weird thing is that last week after uninstalling the 01/04/2015 build and re-installing the 01/03/2015 build the issue was no longer present. That seemingly indicates that my issue stems from the "Fix for IMDB timing out due to search too long" fix that was implemented in builds 01/04/2015 and forward.

I don't think I still have the conversion log for the 500+ offsets (as it was over a week ago), but I do have the one from last night that was 100+ (before I stopped it) if that would help (I can upload when I get home from work tonight)...

Yes please, we would love to see the log
The reason you don't see this is earlier builds is because the website changed how it works last week so the previous builds are broken with the new website. Now I takes longer (since the website only returns one result at a time)

We are thinking about either putting a separate option for checking imdb, limiting the number of search results or just skipping it all together.

@across6 thanks for reporting this and providing the logs. It has been VERY helpful. We've optimized the search and matching for IMDB going forward so you won't see any more 100 to 500 search matches (there a lot of bogus data coming in which we found thanks to your logs).

Please download the latest 2.4.2 build and it should fix your issue, now it should go more than max 15 round or so from IMDB (if it's a VERY common title).

I'm having the same problem. But the 64-bit beta has been unavailable for the past several hours. (The 32-bit version does appear to be on the website and ftp site, but no 64-bit file).

Will the beta be available again soon?

Thanks!
