Volume Adjustment Feature

Feb 5, 2015 at 4:54 AM
Can someone describe how much the volume adjustment slider affects the final volume level? It's default is 1 and goes up to 1000. Suppose I want to increase the volume 25% over the recorded volume, what should the adjusted setting be? Also, will the volume adjustment work if I use one of the "Unprocessed" parameters like "MP4 Unprocessed" or will selecting "Unprocessed" ignore the volume adjustment field? Thank you in advance.

The volume is shown in % increase/decrease, with 1 being normal or no change. 1.25 would represent a 25% increase in volume, 1000 would present a 100,000% increase in volume and 0.03 would present a 97% reduction in volume. Good point through, will include this in the pop up documentation for the next release. As for unprocessed profiles, no it won't have any effect since these are unprocessed profiles (no changes to audio or video characteristics).

Thank you for the very speedy reply. Also thanks for the clarification. I will probably leave the volume setting alone since it performs the other functions in only 10 minutes. I'll just turn up the volume on the TV when playing the files ( I was already doing this with WMC via Xbox360 ).

For next release volume increase/decrease is shown as a % (min in 97% reduction, max is 100,000% increase)
