Profiles that calc bitrate to fit medium size

Hello,

because of donating to MCEBuddy I do have the newest version (early access), with all profiles.

Is it possible to change the profiles (e.g. DVD, MKV or so), that way, that a episode or a movie does have the highest possible bitrate for exactly one medium?

When the duration is 60 minutes, the Output-File should have 4,7gb. When the duration is 4 hours, the output-file should also be 4,7gb in size.

Is that possible? How do you handle this?

I was a bit sad, that a short movie/series has very small filesize and because of this not the best quality.

Thanks in advance!

No there is no current way to set output file size. Mcebuddy runs on bitrates and quality parameters. No matter the length of the movie all outputs from the same profile will have the same quality/bitrates (unless changed manually).
That's the whole essence of a profile.

Instead you can write a custom profile that sets up for a constant file size if you'd like and tell it to ignore all user customizations from the GUI
