Windows 10

Are there any known issues with MCEBuddy and Windows 10?
I noticed my conversions are taking a lot longer.

No. Windows 10 is slower than windows 8.1 however in our testing esp when under load.

Look at your logs are you using hardware encoding?

The symptom I'm seeing it that job take a long time to convert some of my recording (referencing the summary section at bottom of the log. What is strange is that it is not consistent.

For example, a 1hr show late night show that typically converts in 43mins on Monday and Tuesday...now took 5 hours on Wednesday.

I upgraded to 2.4.3 after my initial post earlier today. The logs has now been wiped out. I will perform a test with a small clip.

How do I confirm is hardware encoding is enabled?

look into the logs for quicksync and see if it's enabled

Intel Quick Sync Video support: no

So none. Possibly slow because of other background processes. What's the priority for mcebuddy

Normal.

The only thing I can think of is I have a script run every 30 minutes which scans a folder for Plex (check for recently added items).
I have suspended the script for now and will test to see if that is causing the slowness.

:)) no it's not that. Windows runs a lot if background maintenance tasks we have noticed. Windows 10 pretty much slows down the system while doing these tasks.

Anyways keep an eye out for a slow conversion and we can look at the performance metrics at the end of the log to see where it spends time

I recorded Fallon last night. 1hr show took 6hrs to convert. Normally takes 45 - 65 minutes.

Here is the log: http://1drv.ms/1LxAZGl

Please let me know if you find something to pinpoint the issue.

The one obvious thing to notice in the log is that the covert is stagnant on this step for hours:

2015-08-25T01:01:33 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Handbrake --> Scanning title 1 of 1, preview 1, 10.00 %

Looks like handbrake has an issue. Try downloading the latest nightly build of 64 bit CLI handbrake and replace it on the mcebuddy handbrake directory. Let me know if that solves the issue. Do you still have the original file for this conversion to retest?

I will give this a shot and test again.
I don't have the original file. I typically have buddy delete file after conversion.

Replaced CLI file.
I recorded a different show and sent it through MCEBuddy. It converted cleanly with no delay.
I'll let you know the result when Fallon records again tonight.
Thank you for your assistance. VERY helpful.
