Post processing command to move the poster.jpg to destination folder

Oct 27, 2015 at 12:39 AM
Hello all,

I would like to run a custom command after conversion to rename "show_art_name_file.jpg" that is in my tvshow folder to "poster.jpg" and move it to the converted file destination folder

Any easy way to do that?

thanks

You should be able to do this with a batch file. (REN [drive:][path]SourceName NewName)

EXAMPLE: (Just code snippets to give you idea's; you will need to work out the details for your setup)

In the MCE profiles.conf file >> under the profile that you are using:

PostCustomCommandPath="E:\VideoCaptures\Cleaned Files\MCEBPostProcess.bat"
PostCustomCommandParameters="%convertedfile%" %sourcefile% "%destinationpath%" 1080 .%convertedext% 0 %airmonth% %airday% %airyear%
PostCustomCommandHangPeriod=0
PostCustomCommandCritical=false

Passing vars to 'MCEBPostProcess.bat' where you can perform the rename and move:
SET OUTPUT_NAME="%~1"
SET INPUT_NAME=%~2
SET OUTPUT_FOLDER=%~3
...etc...

REN "%OUTPUT_NAME%.jpg" "poster.jpg"

START "MCE Move" /b cmd /c move /y "%INPUT_NAME.jpg" "%OUTPUT_FOLDER%"

something like that at least.. :-)
