Comskip Failures (only certain shows)

About 3 months ago I switched from WMC recordings from my HD HomeRun Prime to NextPVR for recording off cable card. Initially I was doing x265 HEVC but that was taking forever and comskip was failing on certain shows (Angel from Hell, Hollywood Game Night, and Hawaii Five-0). I went back to x264 for the quicker conversions but still having the same 3 shows giving me "comskip failed". A few others will randomly comskip fail an episode or two during a season but not all like the three shows above.
I had never seen the comskip failed while using WMC recordings.
Recordings are about 8GB each prior to conversion...
I can run through about 9 conversion jobs in a night and just those few will fail.

INFORMATION> 2016-02-17T00:49:31 MCEBuddy.Engine.Core --> Job for F:\NPVR_record\Recordings\Hollywood Game Night\Hollywood Game Night_20160216_20002100.ts has Error Comskip failed using Conversion Task x264 Normal and Profile MP4 Normal

Anyone have any thoughts?
I normally do not have "log conversion tasks" ON, just the standard debug level logging. Do I need the conversion task logged to provide more information?

Please set to debug and upload the conversion log

Thanks for the quick reply. I turned on conversion logging and i will try to find a rerun to record of one of the shows.
When comskip fails, I usually just turn off comskip and let it run through keeping commercials in there. So I don't have any failed NPVR recordings to check against right now.

I have been having a lot of failures with the same error message.
I bought the Donator version of comskip this weekend and am using this: comskip81_092_donators
I also updated to the latest MCE Buddy version: MCEBuddy 2.4.5 64bit - 20160726

The Comskip process is screaming along, 75 to 165 fps and then just comes to a halt and ends processing.

Try using an older version and report it to the Comskip forum. Not much MCEBuddy can do about it as it's a bug with Comskip.
You can get the timeout to 0 to ignore it but then it'll just wait forever if Comskip hangs.

Ok, I think I’d like to get the intermediate file that was processed and failed, is there a way to capture those files so I retry them by hand?

You can pause the conversion just as it finishes comskip / hangs on the last leg, open the temp folder and copy it for yourself.
