How to optimize for hardware

I've read through all the posts on NVEnc, but I still can't seem to get it to work. For my situation, I have HDHomeRun Prime files. Most are 1080i with a few 720p. I need them to be 720p @4MBps which works best with my older LG smart TV. Preferably with surround sound, but cold deal with 2 channel if I had to.

I have tried every option I can find in MCEBuddy and these files are taking way too long (20-30min for a 1hr show). don't need comskip. just quick transcode.

Please don't point me to another post to read through. MCEBuddy may be a great converter, but is way to difficult to figure out all the options. TIA

What profile are you using? What model gpu do you have? What version of mcebuddy are you using?

edit: try putting a check next to Disable cropping on the expert settings page.
