Custom File Detail Properties/Metadata for Converted Videos?

Thanks for the great program.

Is there a way to have MCEBuddy edit the converted file's metadata?

The issue I run into is that I generally store the converted video files on a NAS and access them via a PS3. For some reason, the PS3's file browser only displays the text found in the "Title" metadata field for each file. So if you are browsing via a PS3, you can't distinguish between episodes from the same show. (I.e., if you have multiple episodes of Seinfeld all the files will appear as "Seinfeld" on the PS3 without any other episode data.)

My solution around this has been to edit the metadata of each and every converted file and adding the episode number and name to the Title field for every file. Is there a way to do this automatically during the conversion process?

Thanks!

You can use the PostCustomCommand to write a custom Atomic Parsley batch script to overwrite the metadata field as required. CustomCommand is very powerful and supplies a lot of parameters to use.

See this thread on how to AtomicParsley in custom command (if you want you can make a more elaborate batch script also).
