Handling of files being currently recorded

Quick question... Does MCEBuddy handle the fact that a file is currently being recorded to? In other words, will it skip a file in recording process until the recording has completed?

MCEBuddy looks for read access to the file. Different recording software handle this differently.
Eg WMC will deny read access to a file it is writing to. So mcebuddy will periodically check back until it can get read access. (See the mcebuddy.log for the notification)

Some software provide read access to the file while recording. For those it is better to put a delay (age before converting) in the settings page. Mcebuddy will wait for X hours before processing the files (from creation time).

That's what I was hoping was the situation. I'm using WMC, so I should be good to go. Thanks rboy1!

I am using MediaPortal to do my recordings. Will it allow read access while it is writing? I am planning to use a 1hr delay.
