New System i7 5820K and GTX970

I read through the tutorial on hardware encoding and couldn't quite keep up with the explanation. I am running a Haswell-E 5820K overclocked to 4.6 GHz and a GeForce GTX 970. What settings should I be looking at to ensure that I am maximizing the use of my hardware. Thanks very much for the wonderful program.

Nothing really it's pretty much automatic unless something isn't working.
How long does it take to encode a file? (Infact you can open the conversion log and look at the performance metrics at the bottom of the file)

This is what is at the bottom of the file.

--> Source video duration (hh:mm:ss) -> 02:30:10

--> Source video codec -> mpeg2video

--> Source video height -> 480

--> Source video width -> 704

--> Pre-conversion video duration (hh:mm:ss) -> 01:30:10

This is some other output I am getting from the file. IS there anything amiss?

This would suggest that your hardware is not reporting quick sync support to handbrake. QuickSync encoding supported availble -> False Make sure you are using the recommended driver version and also see the thread on activating the hardware encoding using
the dummy monitor or bios settings.

My processor does not have Quicksync, Haswell-e. As far as OpenCL goes I cannot figure out where to add the –P or –U. “add -P to the end of the handbrake-video line in the profile” but I do not know where that is located.

Open the file profiles.conf in the config directory (where mcebuddy is installed) and locate your profile in it.

Though I must say that processor seems to have some pretty serious performance based on your performance metrics
