Good Code on Failed Conversions.

May 17, 2015 at 5:27 PM
Lately I have had a few failed conversions on handbrake but it exits with a code 00 then it deletes the original thinking everything is fine ... a 2 hour move only runs for several seconds gets a good code but the mp4 is really really small.

Can you try with yesterday's build. We fixed some issues related to that last week.

This is really bad even with the Newest Beta it does not encode the whole show also it cuts the commercials even when you have it not to cut the commercials.

If you already have an EDL and you set it to no comskip it will cut the commercials. It should not cut the commercials if you have it set to no comskip.

logs are here.

It's cutting commercials because of a recent change in the logic, if MCEBuddy finds EDL files it saves them and turns on commercials cutting.

INFORMATION> 2015-05-21T04:37:38 MCEBuddy.Engine.ConversionJob --> Checking for EDL, EDLP, VPRJ or DTB XML files
INFORMATION> 2015-05-21T04:37:38 MCEBuddy.Engine.ConversionJob --> Found existing EDL file and saved it
WARNING> 2015-05-21T04:37:38 MCEBuddy.Engine.ConversionJob --> EDL file present and commercial removal not enabled, forcing commercial removal ON

However I can see the issue here and will revert the logic back to just copying the EDL files.

As for not encoding the whole show, I can't tell because of the commercials cutting. Will revert the logic and then you can try. Otherwise you can test try it without the EDL files.

I see where that can cause a problem as I run Comskip outside of MCEBUDDY ... but I never want to cut commercials.

The logic has been fixed in the 2.4.2 release of MCEBuddy so it should be working fine now
