How to keep EDL files created and not have them deleted after commercials removed?

Jan 5, 2016 at 12:56 AM
I leverage comskip to remove ads from WTV files recorded in WMC.

I'd like MCEBuddy to archive the .edl file it generates (vs. deleting it at the end once commercials are cut). Is there a way to do this? If not could this be an enhancement to add at some point? Maybe something tied to archiving? e.g. sometimes I need to re-convert a file that was archived, and I hate to have to waste time to have comskip scan for commercials again.

No it deletes it after the commercials are cut but you can write a custom command script to save it.

Can you point me to where I would get started with that custom command script? I'm not familiar with how to get that started in MCEbuddy.
