Comskip failing

Feb 28, 2016 at 1:11 AM
I'm having alot of shows failing with the error listed as "Comskip Failed." When I look in the log files I see this:
ERROR> 2016-02-27T21:02:54 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Comskip --> Unable to start process
Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.
WARNING> 2016-02-27T21:02:54 MCEBuddy.CommercialScan.Scanner --> Comskip failed
ERROR> 2016-02-27T21:02:54 MCEBuddy.Engine.ConversionJob --> Comskip failed

Is there anything I can do about this?

I'm running 2.4.4 and I'm trying to convert .wtv and .dvr-ms files.

This is interesting never seen this.
Can you please upload your log file and the entire original source wth file that causes this issue to the mcebuddy server. Please see the readme before posting thread for details on how to upload

Ok I'll post them next time it happens. I keep re-trying the files. Sometimes it works the next time around and sometimes it doesn't. There are multiple shows that this is happening to. I'll let you know once its posted.

I'm having an issue uploading anything. When I try to go through the windows explorer method it says incorrect password. I'm using mcebuddy for the username and pw. I also haven't been able to drag and drop anything into the ftp site or copy and paste. It just keeps going to the location on my computer when I drag the folder. I know I'm doing something wrong but I'm not sure how to proceed.

Use your premium access username and password to login through windows explorer. The username and password both are mcebuddy for the upload site but you can also use your premium credentials

Just checked it working fine. Possible your firewall or antivirus is blocking it

Uploading the log file and the video file now. Its in folder "Discussion 651484." The error occurs at the end of the log file. It weird because sometimes it fails on a file and then when I re-try it, it works. But this one has failed a number of times.

The log file is uploaded but having an issue trying to upload the video file. Maybe the log file will be enough?

Would be better if we can replicate because the log isn't pin pointing the code where the issue is happening

Trying to upload it again now. Hopefully it works this time.

This was a bit of a interesting one (after a very long time) - it was to do with 64 bit vs 32 :) and pretty low level pointer stuff to get MCEBuddy to work across multiple platforms and OS's

Interesting. Way over my head but glad I was able to help squash a bug.
