Half Green Video/Screens

Oct 11, 2016 at 9:20 PM
Folks have been asking this question over and over again so this is a sticky/FAQ on the issue and resolution.

Half green videos/screens are caused by bad graphics drivers.

You would either have manually or automatically updated your graphics driver which is the root cause of the problem. Graphics drivers are used to convert the video when hardware acceleration is enabled (by default).

The easiest way to test this would be to open the Conversion Task Settings -> Expert Settings -> Uncheck the Use Hardware Encoder option

Now rerun your conversion, if the "Green" video issues goes away it's your graphics driver.

SOLUTION: Use one of the recommended graphics driver versions listed here: https://mcebuddy2x.codeplex.com/discussions/549347

Thank you Rboy1, I wondered if that could be it but could not find the thread. A new Nvidia driver 373.06 came out 10/5 and it works fine.
