Archiving to network drive

Jan 18 at 12:27 AM
Hello,

I have fought with this for a while and finally concluded that mcebuddy does not allow archiving to a network drive. Is that true? If it is, is there a reason why? If not, could it be a possibility?

as there is no way to specify a usrname - probably not.

you miht think of creating a useraccount beeing Local administartor on your machine and configure mcebuddy svc running in this Account. Network Access will then be done in this context.

although, i think on each release you Need to confiure tis again.

i do it with a scheduled Task once a day to move Content from the Archive Folder to a Network share. here you Can define a username to run the command.

works like a charm...

With the latest version 2.4.6 or later it will prompt you for the credentials if you enter a network path for the archive folder e.g.
\\computer\share
