Hello,

I'm a long time SageTV user. I have successfully used comskip for many years with SageTV, to create EDL files allowing SageTV to skip commercials. I just installed MCE Buddy 2.4.6 and configured it to convert some TV recordings from mpeg2 .ts files to mp4 and have the commercials cut. I did this by pointing MCE Buddy to the folder were the compskipHD (donator version) files are located in the SageTV folder. And scheduled MCE Buddy to run when Sage TV would not be utilizing comskip. Although the conversion completed the commercials were not cut...

I took a look at the log file and noticed:

Also I noticed:

I don't why the log shows this... I made sure to select "Yes Comskip" and the "only detect ads" is NOT checked.

Help. Thanx!

Ignore the first, it's checking what version of Comskip you're using. You're using some custom build and not Erik's donator version, the donator version says this
Comskip 0.81.097, made using ffmpeg
Donator build
.
Task Commercial Skip Cut == Only detect ads NOT checked
So that's also as expected

Use the build in comskip version or download the donator version from www.comskip.org, I don't know what version you're using.

I was using a really old donator version of comskip. I guess it was too old for MCE Buddy to recognize?... Anyway once I downloaded the latest donator version, cutting is now working. Thanx!
